CITY WIDE CLEAN-UP

 

WHEN:  Saturday May 4th; 9AM -5PM, 2024

               Sunday May 5th; noon - 5PM, 2024 

WHERE:  Corning City old dump 401 4th Street (south of railroad, west of Hwy 148)

WHAT:  All household items including Appliances, Computers; Tires (no rims; no tractor tires)

******NEW FOR 2024: Please plan to help with placing items in the available dumpsters.  Equipment will be available for large items, but your assistance is needed when possible. *******

  • TVs can be left out with your regular garbage (if they can be lifted by one person)
  • NO PAINT or hazardous materials. (Latex paint can be dried out & disposed in regular garbage).
  • Trees & Lawn debris:  These items will not be picked up curb side during city wide clean up.  The city burn site located at 2192 200th Street (NE of Lake Binder) will be unlocked during above hours. Any other time pick up a key at city hall for the gate at the burn site.

-If you can’t get to the City dump site, call to arrange curb side pick-ups.  You must arrange to get items to the curb on your own.  Our volunteers will not enter your house. Call Jan Leonard 954-494-0362 or Dalton Davis 641.278.2667.

Residential Garbage pick up every Tuesday! Residents can place one bulk item every week in addition to what is in their garbage tote.  Items that can be safely handled by 1 person and having a loaded weight not to exceed 40 lbs.  A bulk item should fall within the following guidelines:  "furniture, bicycles, windows, doors, etc.  Bulk items would not include any waste generated by a household business, construction or demolition debris, concrete, brick, asphalt, roofing, parts of vehicles, or hazardous waste. 

Appliances DO NOT qualify and must have an appliance sticker which can be purchased at City Hall for $30.    

Recycling Every Other Wednesday.
